Prego update

So I have 6 weeks to my due date but hopefully this one follows suit with my other two and is two weeks early then it is only 4 weeks left.  I am still doing a home birth and excited to see how that goes.  I am feeling pretty good.  The only real complaint is that I wish I could sleep all through the night without tossing and turning.  But we are finally getting Brooklyn to sleep through the night by putting an air filter in her room for white noise and using lavender oil on her.  So I am excited for that!  Now to get some sleep myself before the baby comes.

What's Happening with the Hansen's?

We finally closed on our refinance!!!  When we started we were told the goal was to close the end of January and here it is middle of March.  Well, it took forever but it is done and we are super excited.  We went from a 5.25% 30 year loan to 2.875% 15 year loan!!!  YEA!!!!!
I have less then 2 months, about 7 1/2 weeks  to go in this pregnancy.  But in my head I am saying I only have five weeks left because both Kaden and Brooklyn came two weeks early so I am just going to assume this one will be also.  Even though I know it isn't a for sure thing because every baby comes on it's own time.  We don't know for sure what it is so it will be a surprise.  I had my brother-in-law do an ultrasound at 16 weeks which is really too early to tell but he claimed it a girl at that point.  So we shall see!  I am still doing a home birth and plan on having the baby in my bathtub.  I will have to make sure I post and let you all know how it goes.
So there is so much I can post about but it is 9:00pm and I need to get my kids to bed.

Family Pictures

We got some family pictures taken a couple weeks ago.  Thank Chris for that!  And Brooklyn was not happy at all.  There is only one picture that she is actually smiling in.  So here they are:

Coming...

I am actually posting something on my blog which I'm sure everyone gave up on me and won't even see this.  But here you are.  We are having another baby!  I'm am 3 months along and finally telling people.  I just told my family last weekend.  It was a planned pregnancy but a hesitant one because I really don't have a strong desire to have another child but didn't want to have any bigger gap between Brooklyn and another one.  And guess what? I am going to do a home birth!! Yes, most of you probably think I am crazy but oh well.  I hate doctors, I refuse to have an epidural, one of the worst parts about my other two labors was having to have the IV in "just in case", and I will save a couple thousand dollars.  And there you have it.

Snow, Snow, and More Snow

So I was pretty excited that we were having a mild winter because I really don't like snow much. Well, I guess I don't mind it, I just don't like 7 months of snow. I figured the mild winter wasn't going to last and that we would get more snow but not all at once!!!! Holy Moly!!! For two days it snowed and the wind blew and blew. I mean blew!!! Steady 45mph winds with 70mph gusts. It was crazy. I'm not sure how much snow actually fell but the drifts of snow were huge. The first morning we couldn't get out of our subdivision. The drifts were way too big for any vehicle to drive through. Our neighbor tried but got stuck right out in front of our house. And even if she would have made it there was a couple more in the subdivision and one at the enterance that was 4 feet high. The snow plows were soo backed up they didn't get to our subdivision until 3:30pm. Blake drove the snowmobile into town to get some milk and eggs. Then the Teton Pass going to Jackson was closed for 40 hours straight because of 12 major avalaches and 20 minor ones. So Blake couldn't go to work for two days. Here are some pictures. The first one is of Kaden standing on the snow drift out our front door. It was well above our porch.

This is Blake and our neighbor shoveling and snow blowing our front walk way where Kaden was standing.

After they were done it was taller than Kaden!!

Now on to the driveway with our new snow blower that we had to buy because shoveling would have taken months with our 4 foot drifts in our entire driveway.

This is the snowmobile trailer that got buried!

Here is Kaden and I with our half snow blowed driveway. That is how high it was. And the snow blower was having a really hard time with the super heavy, heavy wet snow. It was super dense. We were chipping away with a shovel so the snow blower would work a little better. But after half the driveway we called it quits.

And called in the big guns!!! We had a friend that plows and he swung by to help us out.

Why didn't we do this first thing?!!!

Yea, that's what I'm talking about! Piece of cake!!

I didn't get pictures of us getting the trailer out but we hooked up to the truck and the snow was so heavy on that trailer the truck didn't even budge. So our friend put a chain from the truck to the tracker and with no hesitation pulled it right out.

Family Pictures

A college roommate and her husband came up to take some family pictures for us. And they turned out great! Here are some of them:

I have seen picture like this and have always wanted one. So here it is. I just wish Blake didn't look so stiff. He blames it on concentrating on getting the kids off the tramp. But anyways I like it.

I have a ton of random pictures of Blake and Kaden on his shoulders, so I wanted one with Brooklyn.

Brooklyn would not stay still!!! So this is what we got which I think is cute anyway.

She has some pretty big blue eyes that I love!

Blake's New Toy

Well, I gave in a let Blake buy a new toy. It really wasn't much of a fight. But his dad was selling his motorcycle so Blake decided after borrowing it for a week or two that he had to have it. I must admit that the gas mileage is very nice. He gets 45 or so miles to the gallon. And since he drives over the pass almost everyday it saves a TON on gas. I just don't think about him driving a motorcycle because then I will just worry about him everyday. Here is one picture we took of me with the bike.
